Cookie Policy
What cookies GoLowr uses, what they do, and how to control them. Short version: we only use essential cookies right now — no analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels.
Effective: May 3, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how GoLowr, LLC (“GoLowr,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on golowr.com and in the GoLowr applications (the “Service”). It is part of our broader Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit. They let the site remember things about you between page loads and visits — like keeping you logged in, or remembering your theme preference.
We also use a few related technologies that work the same way: browser local storage, session storage, and similar mechanisms. For simplicity, we refer to all of them as “cookies” in this policy.
2. The cookies we use
GoLowr currently uses only essential cookies. These are required for the Service to work. We do not use them to track you across other sites.
Authentication cookies. Set by Supabase, our authentication provider. These keep you signed in across page loads and protect against session hijacking. Without them, you would have to log in on every page.
Security cookies. Used to protect against cross-site request forgery (CSRF) and similar attacks. Standard for any web service that handles user accounts.
Preference cookies. Store non-sensitive preferences such as which UI mode you prefer or whether you have dismissed an in-app notice.
3. Cookies set by services we integrate with
When you interact with parts of the Service that use third-party tools, those tools may set their own cookies on your device.
Stripe. When you reach a checkout or billing page, Stripe (our payment processor) sets cookies to detect fraudulent activity and to keep your checkout session active. Stripe’s cookie practices are described in their cookie policy.
Supabase. Supabase, our authentication and storage provider, sets the authentication cookies described in Section 2.
4. Cookies we do not use
We currently do not use any of the following:
- Analytics cookies (e.g., Google Analytics, Plausible, Hotjar)
- Advertising cookies (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Pixel, retargeting)
- Social media tracking pixels from Meta, X, TikTok, or any other social network
- Cross-site tracking cookies of any kind
If we add any of these in the future, we will update this Cookie Policy and add a cookie consent banner asking for your permission before non-essential cookies are set.
5. How to control cookies
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you block cookies entirely, block third-party cookies, or clear cookies on a schedule. Here is documentation for the major browsers:
Heads up: if you block our essential cookies, the Service will not work properly. You will not be able to stay logged in, and certain features will fail.
6. Do Not Track signals
Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. There is no industry consensus on how to interpret DNT, so we do not respond to it directly. However, since we do not use any tracking cookies, DNT is not particularly meaningful for us today. If we add tracking technology in the future, we will revisit our DNT handling.
7. Changes to this Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. If we make material changes — particularly if we begin using non-essential cookies — we will notify you by email, through a notice in the Service, or both, before the changes take effect. The “Effective” date at the top indicates when this policy was last updated.
